FASHION WEEK EDIT

Fashion week is here and it's time to reflect on some of our favorite standout beauty trends of NYFW 2020. From bold liner to pretty pastels and illuminated complexions these are looks that we are loving and how to achieve them using EM Cosmetic's products.

Softly Illuminated Complexions

It's unlikely that glowy skin will ever be an outdated trend, but 2020 is all about softly illuminated complexions. Think less strobe highlight and more natural "lit-from-within" radiance. To achieve this look use Heaven's Glow Radiant Veil in Magic Hour. Using a fluffy brush, sweep across the high points of your cheeks, down your nose, on your cupids bow, and upper brow bone. Heaven's Glow is formulated with an innovative blend of pearly pigments that impart natural radiance and luminosity for a beautiful soft diffused glow.

Eye-Catching Graphic Liner

Turn heads with eye-catching eyeliner looks. Bold graphic lines are still a top trending look, but our personal favorite from the runway this season is floating eyeliner. This vintage liner trend was popular in the 60s, but is making a major comeback this year. Get the look by using our Felt Tip Illustrative Eyeliner to easily create graphic lines. Start by sweeping the liner above your highest crease at your inner corner to where your brow ends. You can stop there, or create a line from the outer corner of your eye and connect both lines to create a floating cat-eye.

Pretty Pastels

Dreamy pastels heavily dominated the runway this year, especially purples. Give your complexion and subtle pop of color with Color Drops Serum Blush in Soft Amethyst— this makeup skincare hybrid will keep you glowing through every season. Apply Color Drops by using your fingers in a soft tapping motion or with a fluffy brush for a natural diffused look.

Classic Red Lips

Red lipstick is considered a classic beauty look, but it appears to be one of the biggest trends of 2020. A timeless classic red lip is the perfect way to level up your look for just about any occasion. Infinite Lip Cloud in Red Divine is a true red that is complimentary across all skin tones and is a comfortable, velvety air-whipped crème. An essential in your makeup collection!

Flushed Lips

Flushed lips are essentially your lips, but better. Choose a shade slightly more colorful than your natural lip shade (we suggest Cashmere Crème, Morning Mocha, or Muted Mauve) and apply a light layer on the lips, then blend out with your fingertips. We love this trend for an every day on the go look. It's quick, easy, and effortless!

Blurred Lips

Here us out, bold lips but make it blurred. Deeper lip shades are so beautiful, but not necessarily as wearable as your go-to shades, and can seem a little intimidating to play with. The blurred lip, inspired by the K-beauty "popsicle lip" trend, is a beautiful take on your typical lip stain that works with almost any makeup look!  By applying the lip shade (we suggest Vintage Rosewood or Hush Berry) to the middle of your lips and slowly blending it outwards (you can use a brush, a q-tip, or your fingers!), it creates a soft diffused "blurred" effect. An effortless look achievable by both beauty beginners and experts!

Pops of Color

Pops of pinks, pops or purples, or our personal fav— pops of orange. Even more specifically pops of clementine. Use our Infinite Lip Cloud in Faded Clementine on your lips, cheeks, and eyes for an all-over monochromatic look.
