Job Title: Social Media & Marketing Manager
Location (hybrid): Mon/Wed/Fri WFH, and Tues/Thurs report to our Culver City office
Position Summary
You are a makeup-obsessed marketer with an eye for elevated beauty, and that thrives in an entrepreneurial and creative environment. Social media (TikTok, IG) is a key part of your life; you love following the latest trends and your fave beauty influencers, and coming up with exciting and innovative ways to engage with the beauty-obsessed community. You are keenly aware of how quickly the social media and digital space evolve, and you love knowing what is hot now, and what’s coming next.
You are also a leader on your team: adept at project management, you create and follow timelines and ensure that projects and tasks stay on track.
An excellent communicator, you are at lease collaborating with cross-functional team members. You have experience managing people and enjoy motivating and nurturing talent.
Lastly, you enjoy the analytics behind marketing activities, and are proficient in running business analyses to understand ROI and learnings to continue improving future efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop innovative marketing strategies and execution across launches and base business.
- Oversee social media strategy and execution
- Develop an exciting monthly marketing calendar that drives compelling brand storytelling, creative activations and promotional activity that is cohesive and drives brand POV
- Develop product marketing & education for both new launches and base business
- Develop initiatives to drive engagement and sales including brand partnerships, merch, etc.
- Partner with the Creative, Social Media & Production managers to create assets that align with the marketing plan.
- Manage and track the annual marketing budget
- Analyze product launches, marketing campaigns, promotions, and base business and present clear learnings and implications to the team and Senior Leadership.
- Present quarterly business reviews to Senior Leadership & broader team
- Constantly brainstorm and share ideas on how to strengthen our marketing in order to outpace and outperform our competition.
- Manage the relationship with external agencies (web development, paid media etc)
- Manage 1 direct report
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of experience in Marketing, including some in Beauty
- Experience managing direct report(s)
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage across multiple teams, projects, and priorities efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to flex up and down; planning strategically and rolling up your sleeves to help the team with production is all in a day’s work.
- Creative thinker, with the ability to develop ideas that are unique and innovative in the category
- Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated history of delivery in a dynamic, fast paced organization.
- Ability to operate independently, but respond to executive input and direction.
- Strong ethics and values which support the organization’s goals and foster a transparent and supportive culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must possess strong initiative – self-directed, with independent judgment and decision-making ability.
